Dr Luca Trenta is an Associate Professor in International Relations in the Department of Political and Cultural Studies, Swansea University. See his academic bio:

His academic interests include international relations, US foreign policy, the Cold War, and intelligence and covert operations. In particular, he has researched and written on the Ford Administration and the development of the US ban on assassination.
Luca joins Niall for a two-part discussion of the evolving US positions - both stated and in effect - from the Cold War to the present day.
